Clare and Brian’s wedding was the perfect example of the importance of booking a professional photographer and completely putting your trust in them to capture the essence of your day, regardless of the weather! The possibility of rain on a wedding day fills many brides with fear and is in reality a very real consideration for this part of the world. Unpredictable weather is something that I do my upmost to prepare for in the lead up to the day and I hope this can illustrate opportunities to be had if the right mindset is in place.
As the old wives tale states, it is lucky to have rain on a wedding day as a wet knot is harder to undo - Clare and Brian are therefore certainly in for a lifetime of luck and prosperity as it rained constantly, all day long. However, this did not deter the amazing bride who took this in her stride, determined not to let the weather ruin the opportunity for photographs!
Prior to the wedding I had met with Brian and Clare to explore the farmyard location between the church and the reception venue, this was a special place for Clare as she had previously kept horses there. The photographs were an important part of their day and they had dedicated time for me to create something unique and special to them. After an emotional church service in Old Basing we headed off to the farm and braved the elements whilst the guests headed to the reception for drinks.
The variety of the different areas we were able to access at the farmyard allowed me to create some really individual, relaxed and fun photos which I hope you will all enjoy.
Congratulations Clare and Brian, wishing you both every happiness in your future lives and thank you for inviting me to be part of your special day!
